I’m glad you want to learn more about myself.
My name is Irène Brou. I’m 30 years old, born and raised in Vienna, and I’m embarking on an exciting new chapter as a freelance graphic and media designer, exploring the full scope of my creative abilities.
I love to cook but enjoy eating even more, have a passion for languages with far too little time to master them, and have been captivated by creative expression from a young age. My first canvases were paper, wood, and fabrics, and later I discovered Photoshop, igniting my digital creative journey and bringing me here.
How did it all Start?
Growing up in Vienna, I was inspired by my father, a skilled amateur artist and chef. After graduating high school, I initially gained experience in the tourism industry but eventually decided to retrain as a graphic designer, pursuing my true passion.
What happened so far?
Years of work experience, two lockdowns, new skills, and my decision to leave a role as project manager for digital projects at VGN Medien Medienverlag (Gusto, WOMAN, News, Trend) led me to pursue freelancing. In this time, I worked on digital campaigns for various clients, planning strategic digital marketing and delivering results aligned with each client’s advertising goals. And now, here I am!

The decision to start my freelance career came with many doubts, and the biggest one made me question my experience of two years in the media industry. But I don’t care because if Elliot (@elliotisacoolguy) can do it without formal training, then surely I can too, right?
